The Royal Albatross Centre is the gateway to the worlds only mainland breeding colony of Royal Albatross.

We also host tours a daily tour to explore the military history on Taiaroa head and see the world’s only restored 1886 Armstrong Disappearing gun. In the evenings, you can join us to see the worlds smallest penguin (the Little Blue Penguin) waddle home.
